The GPB80D is a heavy duty gas turbine packaged power plant with cold end generator drive.  This system offers electrical efficiency of 32% and an overall cogeneration (CHP) efficiency of 80% making it ideal for use in: Hospitals, Universities, Process plants, Shopping malls and office complexes with (CHP) heating and cooling loads, pharmaceuticals, city eolectric rail and subway systems, and other facilities with significant thermal and electrical loads.

The design of the GPB80D incorporates recent turbine engine design improvements based on our proven GPB70D design, assuring increased RAM and greater durability.
A Closer Look

The GPB80D is ideal for installation in areas requiring low engine emissions.  The GPB80 is the same engine without low emission burners. The unit utilizes our M7A-03 engine - which is an uprated version of the M7A-02 engine used on the GPB70D package.

The GPB80D packaged power plant  is designed for reliable base load use in cogeneration applicaionts and:  Electric Utilities, Hospitals, Data Centers, universities, high rise condominium units, office parks and shopping malls incorporating heating and cooling loads, pharmaceuticals with CHP loads, city subway and light rail systems, LNG facilities, process plants, Ethanol plants, and other facilities with significant CHP - thermal and electrical loads.

  • Offers electrical simple cycle efficiency of 32.7% and an overall CHP efficiency of 80%
  • Design based on our proven GPB70D package (M7A-02 GT engine), which assures better RAM (reliability, availability, maintainability) and greater durability with 30,000 HRS TBO (Time Between Overhauls)
  • DLE version has NOx emissions of 15 to 25 ppm and CO emissions of 50 ppmv (O2=15%) - without the use of SCR system
  • Split case design allows for ease of inspection and maintenance on site, minimizing costly downtime
  • Cold end drive  reduces thermal growth issues reducing maintenance
  • Design is optimized for cogeneration applications
